About the Event

Wild Church Online Gatherings

These free seasonal gatherings are invitations to honor the turning of the Wheel of the Year and the sacred rhythms of the land. Within this shared circle, participants from across different watersheds come together to listen to the Spirit through guided practice, communal reflection, and direct connection with the wild.

This session: December 18

Winter Solstice

At the Winter Solstice, we can feel the invitation to stillness, quiet, and rest. As the Earth is dramatically tilted away from the sun, we experience our longest nights and can feel the chilling of the air. We turn toward the North and the element of Earth. Though this moment marks the official arrival of winter, we also acknowledge the slow return of the light in the days ahead. Come join the Wild Church Network as we mark the Winter Solstice with an online gathering centered on the themes of stillness, rest, and the shifting of darkness as womb. We will have readings, song, practice, and an invitation to wander. (Note: Please bring a stone that is small enough to hold in your hand for one of the practices.)

This session hosted by Charity Muse
