Growing into a Movement

This membership level is for those who are actively seeking to start a wild church or already have. It's an invitation into community with others who have also heard the same sacred calling. You, as a leader, are part of a larger movement, like a tree within the larger forest. 

And the movement is emerging, larger than any one of us, and all of us together.  It is a movement initiated by Spirit that includes all communities gathering outside of buildings for the purposes of reconnecting with the Holy incarnated in and between all things. Like any healthy eco-system, this movement thrives on diversity, variety, and interdependence. 

Some Wild Church leaders are ordained in a denomination, others have no affiliation at all.  Some churches have their own land, some meet in public parks or even parking lots, watching crows.  Some meet weekly, some monthly, some only once a quarter.  Some Wild Churches are rooted in the Celtic stream, some decidedly inter-spiritual, others immersed in a particular denomination's liturgies and traditions. 

At the root, we all share a deep commitment to building relationship with the natural world, evident through practices of inner and outer restoration.

In the spirit of liberation that Wild Church embodies, there is no dogma or creed or hierarchy in this movement. Just that you approach and include all others, human and more-than-human, with reverence and welcome.
